Taiwan Halal Certification Development Co., Ltd (THCD)

Taiwan Halal Certification Development Co., Ltd (THCD) is a halal certification company established in 2020 and headquartered in the Zuoying District of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The company works on the systematization of halal products and industries in Taiwan alongside the development of a Muslim friendly environment, including hospitality and tourism services.

THCD publishes certification scope areas covering halal food general requirements, good manufacturing practice, food safety management systems, halal packaging, halal pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and personal care, halal medical devices, Muslim friendly hospitality services, and halal supply chain requirements for transportation, warehousing, and retailing.

On its about page THCD lists official recognition from JAKIM of Malaysia and from CICOT, the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, and it announced on 23 July 2025 that it had formally received JAKIM authorization. The company states that further applications are in progress with BPJPH of Indonesia, MUIS of Singapore, the GSO of the Gulf states, HAK of Turkey, and the SFDA of Saudi Arabia; these remain pending rather than granted. Beyond issuing certificates, THCD describes a market access role, connecting certified companies with business matching events, halal trade exhibitions, and importers and distributors. Its listed cooperation partners include MATRADE, the Halal Industry Development Corporation, and Malaysian universities including UMS and USIM.
